Prior to joining PIC Americas, Mr. Castleman served as VP Marine for SeaOne Holdings, LLC for 7 years and established GEM Marine to focus on zero-emissions shipping on inland and short-sea shipping projects. As President of PIC Americas, he authored the original business plan, financial models and proformas that demonstrate the profitability of the service. From the outset of the PIC ISO LNG container project, he has taken a leadership position in developing a delivery strategy, identifying infrastructure and permitting requirements, and ensuring the equipment and contracts meet all requirements, technical and commercial. On the marine transportation side, he has developed the preliminary design of the zero-emission delivery system that will eventually be employed to move the containers by sea.

Mr. Castleman’s 49 years of experience has been in the design, construction, and operation of vessels and offshore exploration and production systems, as well as shipping various types of cargoes by sea. Prior to joining SeaOne, he established Castleman Maritime LLC in 2006 after serving as VP Offshore for Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine and its predecessors (KAMEWA and Aquamaster-Rauma Inc.), Manager of Engineering for Noble Drilling, Director of Engineering of Tampa Shipyards, and Marine Superintendent of Pearcy Marine, Inc. He is a 1976 graduate of Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, with a dual degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
